3. I've got some concerns,
which admission will likely get me labeled a "concern troll", but there it is. He's got some union support, which is a good thing. He's got this merit pay fascination, which isn't.

4. And he supports the No Child Left Behind which, I thought many consider
was a bad idea.

I am not a teacher, however, and do not have children in school.

5. Unfortunately, another Chicago buddy
There were a couple of people who were considered excellent choices. But, as we've seen, geography, proximity and "experience" matter more than anything. The experience thing is odd, and I've even heard it repeated here at DU. If "experience" is so all-important in these cabinet choices - then why did we elect Obama as president? I voted for REAL and FUNDAMENTAL change. I see mush and Clintonian appointments that makes the administration shaping up to be hacks and retreads.

President-elect Obama - remember who elected you. Remember your OWN definition of CHANGE?

6. The Chicago thing bothered me too.
I was holding my breath... because I wanted to believe that some of his decisions were being dictated by the economy... but I'm no longer convinced.

I have stopped holding my breath. I'm going to take care of what's important to me, and simply hope that he doesn't work against those things. I know, it's a major drop in expectations, but at this point, as long as he's better than McCain would have been, I'll be okay.
