CHICAGO — A spokesman for Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. tells The Associated Press the congressman has been talking to federal investigators about his dealings with Gov. Rod Blagojevich (bluh-GOY'-uh-vich) since summertime.

Spokesman Rick Bryant wouldn't give details of those discussions Tuesday morning.

But a report from WLS-TV in Chicago cites unidentified sources as saying Jackson has told investigators Blagojevich wouldn't appoint Jackson's wife as state lottery director because Jackson wouldn't donate $25,000 to the governor's campaign fund.

Jackson has acknowledged being the "Senate Candidate 5" referenced in the federal complaint against Blagojevich.

The complaint quotes Blagojevich as saying an associate of the candidate offered to raise money for him if he picked the candidate to fill President-elect Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.

Blagojevich was arrested last week on federal corruption charges, accused of trying to sell Obama's Senate seat to the highest bidder.

Jackson denies initiating or authorizing anyone to promise anything Blagojevich on his behalf.

2. JJJ is looking like he might be the big loser in this fiasco....

While most of us give him benefit of the doubt, the circumstances are damaging to him. I hope he can pull a rabbit out of the hat in terms of avoiding being smeared by this whole thing, but I do think he's going to suffer long term harm.

The MSM is still up to their dirty tricks in trying to implicate any Democrat they can get their hands on. And the Blagojevich scandal has whetted their appetites.

The only thing is that I've never heard Mr. Jackson say in the news that he was "candidate five".

12. I just watched MSNBC with this Lynne Swenney woman and she

basically tried to DOWN PLAY the JJJ story on him being as informant to the Feds she said he hasn't been involved with the Feds in this case first of all how the FUCK does she know if he's involved with this case or not this story just broke over the last coupe of hours and that info wouldn't be released this early. Old Lynne is made that Jesse Jr. isn't involved criminally.
