Unlike another thread that someone breathlessly posted where another blogger on another board whined that Obama didn't really understand the concept of discrimination, I get the meaning of the Sammy/Archie kiss. I remember watching it, and how scandalized the bigot Archie was to be caught off-guard.

I'm not sure if the Inaugural invitation will achieve a similar effect on Warren, though from the statement he issued, he is at least aware of the scope of outrage being expressed because of his appointment. If there's any capacity in him to be chastised, now would be the time. That's the interesting duality of some of Obama's post-election decisions.
