Anointing Warren as the next "America's Pastor" (the next Billy Graham) is something else.

Having Warren deliver the invocation at the inauguration is NOT the same as "bringing the divide" or "crossing the aisle" or "bringing the two sides together".

Bush unpopular. Sometimes you do have to make a national moment nationally embracing no matter who that embrace covers. If it was the Democratic convention I'd get it totally but it's not really. I know it feels good to give them the treatment they gave us but it doesn't really make us better than them.
