1. Blago needs to step down
He's a fucking disgrace, and I can't believe anyone would stand up for him.

He's worse than McGreevey for fucks sake.

3. I think that's good advice, and he seems to be profiting from it.
The SC decision yesterday or whenever it was suggests that he may well ride this out, which would be one less victory for BushCo.

16. So far they've taken down Davis, Spitzer, and McGreevey
that I now of. Why are you so eager to toss them another Dem governor? I don't get it.

21. Spitzer deserved to be taken down.
So does Blago. Corruption is NOT okay for Dems, and we have to make examples of corrupt dems.

22. Seriously, why? Did he do anything illegal?
If hiring a call girl is cause for resignation, what about the guy that got caught in the john, Larry Craig I beleive? How is that he didn't see fit to resign?

23. Because Craig is a piece of shit.
If he had integrity, he'd resign. Spitzer had a shred of integrity and resigned. And yes, what he did was illegal.

25. Fine, let's assume they're all pieces of shit.

The question is, do we benefit from one Dem governor after another getting taken out by GOP-sponsored media campaigns, or do we get screwed like California did? And if Blago is so obviously guilty of malfeasance, why did the Illinois supreme court throw out Lisa Madigan's challenge to his fitness on Wednesday?

27. We don't benefit from it, no.
But if Blago is guilty of what he's accused of, then he should resign. Of course, it'd need to be proven in court.
I grant that the media has judged him guilty already...which is really unfair.
He needs to have his voice, too.
Still, if it turns out that he DID do those things, and he didn't resign, then he is a piece of shit like Larry Craig.

28. If he resigned it would throw two Dem offices, IL gov and senator, open.
If he stays and appoints a Senator, they remain Dem. Speaking from experience in California, that isn't a risk worth taking, whether he's guilty of anything or not. It would also be very costly.

29. He should NOT be the one to appoint the Senator, though.
That much I believe strongly.

30. If he's legally empowered to, then I think he should.
Why would you want to throw it open to an election? Do you want to risk getting some washed up semi-literate B-movie muscle pimp representing your state for the next six years?

12. You are not much different than most. Believe anything that the msm dishes out and make a snap
judgement on it. I think that most of the people that want to hang this guy right now are probably the same people that were cheering us on in our rush into Iraq.

People are inocent until proven guily. PERIOD. I know GWB tried to change all of that, but I still believe in it.

all have refused to have any contact with this guy for the last year is based on tainted evidence.

As per your reference to Iraq - you may want to adjust your medication.

10. Did he really just now quote Rudyard Kipling's "If"
I think I know what his favorite line is...

IF.....
by Rudyard Kipling

...If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise       <== note the significance?

He's got those last two skills down pat.

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,             <== or maybe it's this line
