What do you make of Biden's comments re: Warren
Edited on Sun Dec-21-08 11:24 AM by Truth Hurts A Lot
He's on ABC right now with George.

ETA details:
-He agrees with the decision, says it's part of Obama's strategy of reaching out to everyone.
-Says Warren is doing the invocation and won't be setting policy.
-That Obama is dedicated to equality for the LGBT community.

8. Thanks for the update but I'm not impressed with his comments.
So far we have heard vaporous words about support and we have seen decisions that show otherwise. If Obama wants to prove his support he needs to do something to make our lives better. That means introducing concrete plans on how he will overturn DOMA and DADT as well as get pro-GLBT judges on the bench and work toward equal rights for our community. So far all we've gotten are pretty words with no focus.

4. My only response is: I will believe in the dedication to equality when I see it manifest.
I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm saying I'll believe it when I see it.

7. Well essentially the VP is supposed to do that
I don't agree with either Obama or Biden on this but the blame lies at Obama, he is the one in charge.
