5. I thought exactly the same thing.
Obama gets picked to pieces by Democrats and he hasn't even taken office yet. Republicans must love this.

2. I think Clinton was in 92
The "liberal" MSM only seems to be interested in their duties as the "Fourth Estate" when a Democrat becomes President.

9. I was thinking the same, but...
I don't know if he was before he took the oath.

I do think that the scrutiny Obama is getting is left over republican trash that they threw at Clinton for 8 years.

This is the way the GOP will operate every time there is a Democratic President. Attack, Attack, Attack.

Then they will run another criminal and beat Obama signaling a return to the Reaganomics/bu$h style government.

and the country is more mucked up than ever before. Too bad they weren't watching Bush more closely.

6. Yes, actually ...

Understand that our exposure to the criticism is increased because of the communications mechanisms we have. People who hang out here day and night might be surprised to learn how little discussion of Obama is taking place in the so-called real world.

There was a guy in the 19th century who was so scrutinized before he was inaugurated that an entire section of the country tried to leave because of complaints about policies that hadn't ever been enacted or even stated. Pretty big deal ...

OnEdit: Oh, and I just had to mention this one. There was another guy in the 19th century whose election was criticized as the harbinger of the end of civilization. There were controversies that hinted at the potential need for impeachment before he took office due to his alleged foreign allegiances, and there were questions about whether he might be in league with the devil.

He was a bit of an asshole and not one of my personal favorites, but we have managed to survive as a society another 207 years.

7. Well, PE Obama has held press conferences nearly every day lately...
...and the transition team has set up an interactive website ~ so it's not like they're downplaying what's happening.

I like it this way ~ transparency, right?

15. The word "scrutiny" just means to study, examine or look closely...
...so if you're all about transparency you want people to scrutinize.
