Ok, now that I got your attention, why not drop all this negativity and infighting among brethren. We should be exhilarated that we have a great President like Barack Obama, who by the way, is very handsome, masculine, elegant and intelligent. We have a Secretary of State with a 5-star intellect and a force to be reckoned with in Foreign Affairs. We have a fantastic Secretary of Commerce who makes us Hispanics proud and we have a Cabinet that is the envy of the world. Issues like Rick Warren, Is-Caroline-Kennedy-Ready-to-Be-Senator, which need to be discussed and vigorously debated become distractions when we get carried away and rehash the Primaries and make us fight regarding the Gay Marriage issue. I think that we should concentrate on the historical significance of the Obama Presidency and put things in perspective. Just my opinion and Happy Holidays to everyone.

is not afraid of diverging voices since he is the one that makes the final decision.

I could give a fuck if Obama was ugly, effeminate, and crude. I do care that he is intelligent, but what matters to me most is policy. As per the rest of the post, you can cherry pick a few decent appointments but it doesn't mask the reality that the Cabinet is chock full of DLC corporate sellouts, sexists, Monsanto warriors, NCLB heroes, etc.

Please do not marginalize the very justified reaction to all of these things. Obama is a politician, and will choose political expediency over taking a stand every time, unless there is sufficient pressure from the people.

For instance he promised to increase NASA's budget during the primaries and there are reports that suggest the exact opposite. That is just WRONG.

Geithner, Vilsack, and some others.

Very few progressives and intellectuals

13. No, you see that's my point. So far it has been a good discussion and nobody is attacking

each other. The most important thing is that in Obama we will have a President that will support gay rights, Hispanic rights, women's rights, the rights for all Americans but I realize that he will have priorities. He said that during Debate II when asked about his plans for energy, economy and foreign affairs. As much as I liked Bill Clinton, I think that he caved in to pressure from conservative groups much too early.regarding healthcare and gays in the military. I believe that Obama will not do that.
