Is anyone else watching Countdown right now?

Keith is doing a review of the presidential campaign right now. It's giving me the same feelings I had after each of Obama's wins, losses, controversies, etc. They're showing his speeches from the very beginning. He has been nothing if not consistent in his message. His picks for his cabinet, his administration, and even his choice for the speaker for his invocation should be no surprise to anyone.

after a big electoral loss on a measure on their rights on a routine basis?

Yes, I am surprised. I believed Obama had more compassion to a constiuency that is constantly shit on by politians than this.

20. Obama was against Prop 8. That's not slapping key members of his base in the face.

And he's for gay rights (except for marriage which is sad but well-known). If you watched the show you'd realize he's being true to who he always claimed to be by picking Warren to give the invocation.
