I give credit to Warren for being a shrewd marketer. That's it.

His "Christianity" is decidedly un-Christ-like, IMO.

The phrase "appalling hypocrisy" comes to mind.

As to your question, I think we're on the same page -- I think Obama is the truer thinker and that he may even know the NT better than Warren.

I realize Warren has the creds up there on the wall. But I am suspicious of his grasp of the texts he is "licensed" to preach, and it's my guess that where he could certainly shove Dubya around in a discussion about the ministry of Jesus, I don't think he'd get far with Obama. Because I think Obama knows the NT better and is more associative with it.
