Tweety's hit a new low
Edited on Tue Dec-30-08 08:46 PM by senseandsensibility
I don't know if his show is canned or not, but it's some kind of best and worst of 2008 special which is running right now on the West coast. He's leading into his WORST scandals of 2008 after the break.

Guess what? They're ALL Dems. Not one repug scandal was worthy of mention in all 2008. I thought I'd seen it all, but this is really beyond the pale.

Shall we help Tweety find a repug scandal from 2008, since he isn't aware of any?

Edited to add that he MAY have added some repugs later. I really hope he did, but it didn't seem to be heading that way at all. Edwards was number three, Blago number two, and Spitzer number one. I will correct the record if any Repugs were added after the break.

3. No. No repugs AT ALL!
Edited on Tue Dec-30-08 08:43 PM by senseandsensibility
I turned it off after he listed the top three in the lead to the commercial. They were John Edwards, Blago, and Elliott Spitzer. Now if he added any repugs after the break, I don't know because I turned it off in disgust.

13. true - but Stevens should have been just as big and there were a set of not taken seriously
scandals around Sarah Palin. Some of which - if true - would beat all the top three and would take down a mysteriously successful Republican.

He was the longest serving Republican and a very powerful Senator. The difference is that Edwards and Spitzer involved sex and Blago is so across the line in his comments that he is interesting copy for the media.

In terms of destroying promising careers, Spitzer is by far the worst. Stevens was unlikely to stay more than this term had he won, Edwards was unlikely to run again for President or a statewide NC office. Blago had Cheney like approval ratings before this.

5. I saw part of it
It got annoying...Repubs were called out sometimes, but Tweety said that he gave McCain enormous credit for not "playing the race card". WTF. I agreed with Katrina's response to that. And Pat still has his revisionist love affair with Palin.

6. That was at the beginning of the show, right?
This segment came at the very end of the show in the last five minutes.

8. I don't find it hard to believe at all.....what I DO find hard to believe is that some DUers are
proposing this a-hole as the ideal Democratic nominee for the Pennsylvania Senate seat in 2010???

MY. WORD. After Traitorman, will we EVER learn our lesson?????????????

16. And, they think he's some kind of liberal. What? Come again?
I can't stand this dude. I may not agree with Hillary on many of her policies, but Tweety was incredibly sexist against her. He was the #1 transgressor when it came to his sexism. He was also obsessed with race, making the claim that Obama is not a "regular folk." The implication was that black people aren't "regular people." He made that assertion over and over again. I stopped watching his show and many of us called and sent emails repeatedly about Tweety's racism and sexism.

I can't stand this guy and cannot understand how the Democratic Establishment or any DUer would ever support his candidacy for the Senate. I'd just assume vote for Specter than Tweety. I hate the guy!! :puke:

10. I got the impression that was the result of some sort of poll ... not Tweety's selections.
Yes ... I found it annoying as hell that Stevens, Craig, and the rest weren't mentioned.

12. I listened to a part of some special..
that he had..I'm not sure if it first aired yesterday when I heard it, but it was full of lies, revisionist history. It was on the tv in the other room, and reminded me once again of why I should not listen to the crap coming from the tv. I was close to emailing him and setting him straight, but then I didn't want to acknowledge even hearing the shit.
