My obligatory Warren Thread:
15 people showed up at Warren's Death Cult 2000 'church' a week ago last Sunday for a protest.

I'd like to thank each and every one of these brave people.

Others, who do little or nothing but howl about Warren, not so much.

"Faith without works is dead"

And so are your rights.

4. I would hope it's about over....
I hate the fucker and hope he gets his just rewards, but it accomplishes nothing to abuse the groups with this incessant howling.

In the streets, maybe, here, not so much....

5. Warren is "dead" to me!
Hopefully to most progressive Americans, too!

Let him have his two minutes of fame, then Hell has no fury!

Get on with Obama's Presidency, this issue is dead Jan 21.

11. I completely agree.
The thing I don't understand is the lack of turnout in LA -

there were pictures here and it looked to be about 70 degrees and sunny.

Your weather was life threatening.

Thank you for your courage.

Which is kind of what we thought we were doing with Obama.

14. obama himself is a great leader. grassroots activism was set in motion
by dean as well.

its not really a fair comparison

15. Yes, you're right.
What you're talking about is more evolution (revolution?) within the movement.

17. Nope. Act locally, tell the board about it.
Edited on Tue Dec-30-08 11:10 PM by cliffordu
I'm just saying that to have the brazillion warren outrage threads here on DU and THEN 15 people show up in southern fucking california at HIS church really resonates with me.

Dunno why.

I'll be in LA next month for a week or so and if I hear of the Death Cult 2000 bunker being picketed I'll be there.

18. Needed better organizing it seems.
I do recall marching in Seattle not too long ago. No marching these past two weeks though, with all of the snow and ice.

That prop. 8's passing was partly the result of the failure of the GBLT community to organize.
Then Bill O'Reilly declared on his show that it was black peop
le's fault (typical Rethug divide and conquer tactic) but sadly many took the bait.
