Norm Coleman's future in electoral politics
"Let's be frank: Norm Coleman doesn't have much of a future in electoral politics. Defeated Presidential candidates sometimes have nine lives, but defeated Senatorial candidates rarely do, and in his career running for statewide office, Coleman has lost to a professional wrestler, beaten a dead guy, and then tied a comedian. He doesn't have much to lose by fighting this to its bitter conclusion. But it's hard to envision how he'll come up with enough ballots to overtake Franken."

3. He could go back to his home state and run for senate in '10
for Hillary's seat.. He's a nooooo yorker..maybe MN is not for him anymore..

what he'll end up doing is to stay in DC and join a thinktank/slime-factory or become a lobbyist and make 50 times the money for 1/3 the effort

5. Doesn't he have to wait two years before becoming a lobbyist?
Thought that was the new rule...
Two year hiatus between Congressional seat and position as lobbyist...
or doesn't it apply to Republicans? :sarcasm:

4. Maybe he'll run for governor again after Pawlenty's term is up
Gordon Smith looks like he's going to do that in Oregon, even after his embarrassing loss to Merkley.

6. He did once and lost to Jesse Ventura. Norm is obviously not very popular. He got 42 pct horrible
for an incumbent. Franken got the same but Norm's campaign against him was unbelievably vile. Also Norm has the FBI investigation to get through which I doubt he will unscathed.
