Honestly, from the way people doomed & gloomed about him last summer, I assumed that he had only a few months left. I saw him speaking on TV this weekend, but not walking. He seemed to be doing better.

20. I have to be honest...

I really didn't think he'd still be with us at this time, but then, I wasn't figuring on him being more of a fighter than I already thought he was.

I think maybe what's keeping him going is the thought that his work here is not done. Which is good. If he had to retire for any reason, it's sad to think that he might feel purposeless.
