65. If this is some media or rock star, I'm sorry, I still have no ideo who
you people who seem to be mesmerized by the media find some sexy body worthy of my notice.

Let's TRY to keep this forum somewhat relevant to American politics, NOT to the media that keeps us from honst discussion of issues.

Sorry, you fail to inform, and you think everyone in the world lives in your little bubble. Too bad for you.

Try to inform next time you try to post.

67. Everyone listed is a fictional doctor from a television show.
Edited on Wed Jan-07-09 02:21 AM by Occam Bandage
Gregory House is the fictional star of the television drama "House." The character, which is based on Arthur Conan Doyle's original model for Sherlock Holmes, is a brilliant but antisocial, arrogant, and drug-addicted diagnostician who instills equal parts respect and loathing among those who work with him. I find the show consistently clever and engaging.

He's supposed to be quite charismatic as well. I know someone who knows him personally and says that he is a bit on the arrogant side, but I'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing. I think he's got the moxy to be a good SG.

Good pick !

44. Totally. Gupta's like the "Sham Wow" of Surgeon Generals...
The "new and improved" and "as seen on TV" Surgeon General.

I both understand and am completely depressed that Obama thinks our country will only accept public health information from a spokesmodel. :(

And I'm glad that you're impressed with Dr. Bowman. I actually best know her as the director of our Family Practice rotations. She is as wonderful, kind and selfless as her bio suggests. I actually had no idea that she was so involved in our Public Health program. It doesn't seem there would be enough time in the day to do what she does. But I went ahead and ordered her "Women in Medicine: Career and Life Management" book, so I'll let you know if there are some tips in there!
