I just read that in his first year in the US Senate, he held 39 Town Hall meetings in Chicago, to maintain communications with his constituency.

Also, this pic is my favorite from you bunch (although the Obama/Baby pics are about as cute as it gets), because one can see that the folks there were totally amazed that the New President was about to be amongs them!
