at the swearing in of the best president we will ever have. i was overcome with joy when i read that! i felt like i did so little compared to others i've met. i am so so very happy. i delivered mail today in another town & i didn't deliver any of them. has anyone else been so blessed?

12. i'm not going up there ! i made my du parade the other day and

My parents called to say a big envelope from the presidential inuagural committee showed up at their house. is that tickets?? unfortunately they didn't open it before they forwarded it to my apartmet. Should be here by Wednesday!

Here is what the document looks like, only this one was of course for JFK's inauguration. It looks almost exactly like this, just with a different President and VP on it. The gold emblem at the top is in raised relief. Very nice:

24. I got one ... just figured it was a fundraiser to raise $$ for the inaugural events.

I figured that since there's a brochure enclosed, listing inaugural stuff you can buy. I mean, the invite is pretty and all ... but I think they're trying to raise money.

I'll stick the invite in a box somewhere ... and decades from now, when I've croaked, my ancestors will find it and think I was a big deal. LOL!
