In Bush's Press Conference, all of his "regrets" were PR related.
The first one he named was putting up the "Mission Accomplished" banner. He also mentioned his "occassionally" bad rhetoric. On Katrina, his regret was not landing Air Force One in Baton Rouge (not sure what that even means).

Unbelievable. Actually, pretty believeable.

2. It's mindboggling, isn't it?
And didn't he say last week that the greatest thing about his Presidency was bass fishing or some such thing? His level of delusion is actually frightening because close to 1/3 of Americans think just like him.

3. I think he meant he regretted his flyover of NO
Remember when he left his birthday party for McCain out west somewhere and just flew over NO on his way back to DC? The famous picture of him looking out the window over NO and then didn't lift a finger to involve himself in the tragedy. He probably means he should have landed in Baton Rouge to look like he gave a shit. Would have helped him with PR and done nothing for NO.

5. Or, in other words

he didn't quite "catapault the propaganda" hard enough.

I'm with you. :wtf:

It's pretty sad when Bush's feelings about some of his worst decisions relate more to how people ended up perceiving (or mis-perceiving them from his point of view) them rather than the merits (and consequences) of said decisions. Geez!!!

However, as (Senator) Al Franken among other has observed, PR management has, in fact, been one of the hallmarks of this (mis-)administration and pretty much the only thing that has ever really mattered to them.

6. Self-serving and revisionist rhetoric from George W. Bush? Infuriating, yes. Surprising?..
Absolutely not. Good fuckin' riddance!
