Best/worst case scenarios for Obama's first days !?

Upon taking office Obama will probably have to immediately deal with one of the toughest situation any new president has ever faced. His first decisions will be absolutely critical, they will either prove the doubters right or reassure his supporters. What is it you think he could do to immediately reassure his base particularly with regard to the economy, the Middle-East situation, the Bush legacy...etc and what can cause him to start losing support right away ?

2. the plan, at least according to what I've read and seen...

is to push through the stimulus package as quickly as possible. I think Obama will be advocating that above anything else. As for whether that will be a good/bad scenario, that depends on a whole host of issues, not the least of which is what kinds of concessions will need to be made to make repubs vote it.
