On Bush's first day in office he reinstated the Global Gag Order, ensuring that the poorest and most defenseless women on the planet would not have access to safe abortions for any reason (such as mass rapes in time of war) if the clinics in their countries hopes to receive a dime of US money. He ensured that American women who need the Morning After Pill or Plan B or even plain old everyday contraceptives could be denied them on the whim of any hospital, doctor, nurse, or pharmacist who objected that such things went against their personal religion.

Words cannot describe the depth of my emotions over the past 8 years as Bush-Cheney-Rove-Rumsfeld and the rest dismantled my country. I am not alone at DU in having wept and raged and prayed for our nation. I am not alone at DU in having written letters to editors, marched in the streets, testified at City Council meetings and Board of Supervisors meetings, and maintained e-lists of friends to alert them to news that slipped below the radar of the MSM.

You've just recently dropped in to DU. Sometimes things get a little heated here, and I don't always agree with some of it. But on the issue of George W. Bush, I have to agree with the most vile expressions of anger.

However I myself will try to avoid obscenity. Thus, here is my farewell for George W. Bush and his evil counterpart Dick Cheney:
