1. Yes, we haven't been attacked on US soil since 9/11. But we weren't attacked by Islamists for eight years between 1993-2001 (now of course the Afghan war dealt a necessary blow to Al Qaeda, so that may be a factor, but to convey that our war for peace in Iraq has kept us safe is BS).

2. It's heartwarming to know that that was the LAST time I have to hear him spout his simplistic, black and white, high school-strength foreign policy of democratic peace theory, good and evil, and "if we spread freedom at the barrel of a gun we will be safe."

Whew.
