What a freaking monster. Spinning the tragedy of his presidency all the way out the door, isn't he?
Two of my favorite parts:
1. When he says, "When people live freedom, they do not willingly choose leaders who pursue campaigns of terror".
2. "Yadda yadda great justices like Samuel Alito and John Roberts."
Numerous plugs for faith-based programs, (read: abstinence, anti-gay, etc). He's proud of all the "good" work they do.
Also, the whole thing seemed full of couched anti-choice statements. Was I the only one who caught that? "Moral people defend those who cannot defend themselves, innocents, etc." type stuff.
You know, it's seeing things like this that make me realize, as uncomfortable as I am with a few of the choices Obama's made so far, (Warren, etc.), the difference really is going to be night-and-day. We ought to be able to hold their feet to the fire over some of these decisions, but damn, what a incredible change it's going to be on the whole, isn't it?
I get to be off on Tuesday, mostly because I'm unemployed, (thanks Bush economy!), so I'll get to watch it on the idiot box from down here in Jesusland. I'm thinking at about 11:10am CT I'll be collapsed into a ball on the floor, rocking back-and-forth, saying, "Thank God it's finally over, thank God it's finally over", repeatedly for at least an hour.
