1. I don't know. I think it would have been better to buy it from a store in Ohio or Florida
Got to keep the swing states happy, you know.

11. If they "resized" it to a King then it's more reproduction than antique
...I don't think they made kingsized beds in 1820. And even if they were using "original parts", they'd have
to construct a much wider base frame. So I don't think we have to worry about sturdy. I love Leonard's beds. I've often looked at their website... I
wish I could afford to buy!

5. I remember reading WAAAY back that often Presidents and First Ladys
slept in different beds. I have a strong feeling that won't be true with these two.

13. I hope it holds up better than the Trumans' bed.
The Roosevelts slept in the Hoovers' beds, found them to be too short and had new ones made.

Incidentally, this was also Lincoln's bedroom. If I were Barack I'd be so geeked out I wouldn't be able to sleep.

18. Michael Smith was the one they described
as being able to decorate with antiques so they look airy and family friendly..paraphrasing.

I like the bed..king size. So do all the new Prezes bring their own bed?
