Bush History: A Hero is Born, A Disgrace Takes Office, & the Brave Die Needlessly-1/16
On this date: a national hero is born in Boston (1706) and a national disgrace first takes public office, in Texas (1995). Also, a grim death milestone is set in Iraq (2004), while a 2007 report reveals Bush admin arrogant miscalculation, which could easily have resulted in some of those lost lives. In 2008 Bush gives a man who is no friend of democracy high praise.
