He's so giddy and happy (wonder who he voted for)..

Had CSpan on also MSNBC all day.

Shuster's going off now. I enjoyed him.

3. I think over the next few days the anchors, reporters can
finally display their enthusiasm in whatever subtle fashion they can get away with =).

5. He's friggin' LOVING it! Mixing it up with the crowds..
He can't seem to get enough.
I just sent him an e-mail and told him good job!
Ya know...when you're surrounded by tens of THOUSANDS of happy screaming people...a little of that has GOT to rub off!
Now...let's see how Chris does!

9. Kinda hungover? Looks like he got run over by the O-Express.
He was interviewing Sheryl Crow -- and actually looked fine then -- but he kept asking her questions and then jumping to a new question before she could even answer. He asked her who was the biggest star (or who she most wanted to see) to perform for the inauguration, then proceeded to ask another question just as she was going to answer. For me the answer is easy. BRUUUUUUUUUUCE. But I would have been interested in Sheryl's opinion. Thanks Chris. Ya bonehead.

13. Uh, oh. I thought he had stopped drinking. That's not a good sign.
Lately, I kinda like tweety. He's been pretty good...

14. The hungover remark is kinda of a joke. I have no idea if
he drinks and as long as he can control himself, I don't care. But he does look a bit ragged. Maybe he's just tired.

I don't want to start any rumors about Tweety. I'm feeling very charitable and compassionate today.

16. Chris Matthews doesn't drink anymore.
He's a diabetic, and has great difficulty at times controlling his blood sugar. His health is not very resilient. When he gets sweaty, and his color is poor it's due to his diabetes.

19. I'm wondering if that played any part in him not getting the MTP gig
Now that you mention his health (which I hadn't known before), it could have been a factor. I know that's a bit off-topic, but just something that occured to me.

22. That's terrible. Diabetes is a hideous disease.
I hope he gets better at controlling it. Tweety's a good guy albeit a little goofy at times, but that just makes him interesting. I wish him the best.

Seriously, its so great to be an American. The train trip was the best idea.. capture the momentum that's still there, hungry in Americans.

11. he definitely was.
Every day in his "briefing" email for 1600 ave, he talks about how excited DC is for the inauguration. And he seems very into talking to the kids there. Though, I cringe when I see him bald spot from behind.

18. Chuck is great, always bothers me to see Anti-Chuck threads...
I wish he'd gotten the Meet the Press job. I would have never missed an episode. David Gregory? Bleh, I'll skip it.

20. Chuck is fortunate to be a healthy man,
unlike Chris Matthews.

There are quite a number of diabetics who have what is called brittle diabetes. They have a much harder time controlling their blood sugar. Anything can throw them down. To little sleep, a common cold, over exertion, stretching out the time between meals, even by a little bit, etc. It's often noticeable on camera when Chris Matthews is having problems.

21. I saw Chuck Todd today in Baltimore
He and his crew were packing up as we walked back to the car. So I guess he was on the train in the press section or in a vehicle that drove along with the train.
