Presidents have appointed an average of .53 Justices per year of office since 1900

So if Obama serves two terms on average he should appoint 4 Justices. Lets just hope that Scalia and Thomas are among them.

All but Roberts, Alito and Thomas should be gone in 8 years. Thomas might be gone if Scalia and he feels too outnumbered and views his value as useless in deciding court opinions.

Stevens, Ginsberg, Kennedy, Souter, and Breyer are all getting up there in age. We can also hope geezer nutjob Scalia leaves in the next 4 years. If Obama is in office for 8 years, he might get as many as 6 appointments. That would be amazing.

Yeah, it feels that way. He'll probably be on the court for another 30 years. But I will say he seems more reasonable than Scalia.
