Betty Levette did great and looks good and jon tried to keep up. I put the TV on mute for beyonce. If I'm looking for theatrics and drama I go for MJB, sorry sasha.

There are a couple of other effects you can see in the broadcast, but the Shout "ripple" wouldn't happen if the jumbotrons weren't slightly delayed.

Another thing you'll notice with some of the orchestral pieces is that there was a significant distance between the vocal performers and the orchestra, which causes some minor synchronization issues depending on whether the vocalist is listening to the orchestra or watching the conductor - it's particularly evident during "You'll Never Walk Alone" - listen carefully and watch her eyes.

I loved this set the best. My next favorite was of course U2, then Bettye LaVette/Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Renee Fleming, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Josh Groban/Heather Headley, Garth Brooks, John Mellencamp, Seeger/Springsteen, Sheryl Crow/will i am in that order. Overall, I can't complain about a single act. It was all so lovely. I even enjoyed the orchestra!

I agree Garth was very good (and I'm not a country fan, but he's one I'd listen to). For me, the emotional highlight was 90 yo Pete Seeger though with Bruce and his grandson. Singing that Woody Guthrie classic, including ALL the versus, even the controversial ones that say so much to progressives, it was magic.

Loved U2 and John Mellencamp, James Taylor as well. Loved it all, really.

Pete Seeger. I've never before seen Pete so sublimely joyful. It was beautiful.
Beyonce. I've been burned out on Beyonce, but her voice was stunning on "America the Beautiful."
JT. His voice sounds the same as it did 40 years ago, and the song was perfect for the occasion.
U2. I love The Edge and to see U2 do "Pride" on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial was a moment.
Renee Fleming. Even in the cold, her voice was crystalline. That song always makes me tear up.
Challenger and Mr. Lincoln. Now really, that was quite a lead-in for the PEOTUS.
will.i.am. He's just too cool. And, this event couldn't have gone down without some Bob Marley.
