This person at another board is getting on my nerves
She is certifiable!

I mentioned something about how Bush and his administration silenced opposition, here was her response.

"Can you please back this statement up with some facts? I've never heard of him silencing"

ummm are you serious?? So I backed it up with stuff about attorney general firings, global warming scientists, headstart advocates, Plame... all the links were from reputable sources and as you and I know alot of things were testified to in COURT!

here was her response:

"I think most of the things you mentioned are different in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't find fault or a 'silencing' from Bush in the atty firings, or the Plame issue, but feel there were other issues. AFA the others you mentioned, once again I think that if you hate Bush you are going to see these a bit different than what the facts actually show. You are going to buy the conspiracy theories. I don't like Bush AT ALL, but I think that it just depends on the light you are looking at these things. Hardly 'common knowledge' only common knowledge in far leftist groups."

My response:

None of the links I added were any leftist groups or conspiracy theorists. Many people complained of getting bullied into silence if they offered opinions different than the Bush administration. I hardly think the surgeon general and Bush's own team of scientists are leftist groups/conspiracy theorists and they were the ones making the claim along with many others (testifying in court). I don't see how the Plame issue can be seen any different either considering it went to trial and someone was sentenced.

What takes the cake is this is her blog( http://seriouslyjustme.blogspot.com/ )... she writes that Obama's inaugration day will go down in history as one of the worst days in our history right along with Sept. 11.. WTF????????? And it's not the normal Foxnews/rush/coulter person.. she believes out there stuff (McCain would have been dangerous too, Palin is her saviour). Okay now I see that she removed the sept 11 reference! But she still has Palin up there as the best thing God ever created lol

Okay just had to rant to others who would understand. Feel better now.

3. sounds like one of my relatives so I know
how you feel. The only saving grace is he's a brother-in-law.
How my sister can stay married to that man is a mystery.
She was dropped on her head as a child so that may explain it.

4. lol that is funny
I just really think that even though I'm a huge democrat and completely support Obama I really do try to stay even.. try to broaden my horizons and stay as bipartisan as possible.

But Palin is one of the few who understands the Constitution?? What planet does she live on? lol, I totally do not understand how anyone can take Palin seriously.

6. She's delusional; there's no help for people like that.
They have completely drunk the Kool-Aid. There is no reasoning with them at all. It is scary that they even vote.

8. Erin's unshakable belief system is suffering a jarring
God, her place in the World and her view of reality are being tested.

I doubt Erin will ever change and that is why she is considering dropping the political blog and pray. Instead of accepting she was wrong she will seek stability in her life by returning to a place deeper in her world. It sounds like you have reached out and shown a collection of supportable facts that a rational person must find peace with. She will not. She is not Mosses as she will forever wander the desert.

Does that sound like a person to waste much more time with? Leave her a message that if ever she wanted to discuss what you share and how to build a livable sustainable World that you'd be interested in talking.

10. How does that much stupid get into one person?
You tried to have an actual conversation with THAT? Using facts and references and fun stuff like that?

You were wasting your time from the beginning. People like that simply cannot be reasoned with. You can prove them wrong 31 times before breakfast but their theory seems to be that if they don't admit they are wrong, then they aren't. You might find it entertaining to point out their more egregious errors from time to time but you will NEVER convince them of anything, because they already know what they want to believe and that's that. Deep down I suspect you know this already.

14. They always resort to accusing one of hating Bush
As if there were no reason to hate him!

And as if hating the likes of bush is just wrong in itself.

15. My friend's daughter was a freshman in high school in 2004 and Bush made a campaign appearance
at her high school during the school day. The day before he came, the kids were told they wouldn't be allowed into the stadium to hear Bush speak if they wore t-shirts with negative messages opposing Bush.

So my friend's daughter wore a plain solid color blouse. She went into the stadium and saw a friend and sat by her. The two girls were talking, waiting for the president to speak when 2 men in black suits came up to them and told them they had to leave. When they asked why, the men grabbed them and forcibly removed them from the stadium. They were escorted to the edge of the school property and told they had to leave the grounds immediately or be arrested. They were literally pushed into the street (actually it is a very busy highway) and told to go across the street and join the protesters.

The girls kept asking why they were told to leave and finally one of the men in black told them they were told they couldn't wear any anti Bush t-shirts. My friend's daughter finally then looked at her friend and noticed she was wearing a Kerry t-shirt.

Turns out her friend in the t-shirt was absent the day before and didn't hear the announcement about the dress code for the event. And my friend's daughter was guilty of sitting next to her and talking to her.

Also remember, this was a SCHOOL DAY and these girls were forcibly removed from school property. At a public school.

My friend, who just happened to be across the street with the protesters, saw her daughter crossing the highway and was appalled when she heard what had happened. She gathered a group of 100 parents who attended the next school board meeting to object to not only what happened to these girls but also the use of school property during the school day to promote Bush's campaign. This is a very red suburban community but many of the parents who objected were Bush supporters who thought what happened to the girls was wrong.

And of course our local media ignored this. So when I posted about it to a right winger on a local board he accused me of lying since I had no link.

The interesting thing about this is my friend's daughter is now in college and was very active in the Obama campaign. Following her ejection from the Bush event, she called the Kerry campaign and volunteered. She tells the story today and says being ejected by scary men in black suits motivated her to become a Democrat and get involved.

Oh and those men in black were campaign volunteers. For weeks we all assumed they were secret service or worked for Bush but they were volunteers who lived in the community.

Feel free to share this story with your ignorant right wing friends. It's still stunning to me that a 14 year old girl was pushed onto a busy highway and told to get out because she sat next to a girl wearing a forbidden t-shirt.

17. May Bushitler live to see the day when he is renounced, repudiated, ostracized
and shunned for his trashing of the US Constitution. Better yet, may he burn in hell for his lies
and support of torture and illegal war.

18. Okay I finally had to tell her I would no longer reply to her and
I would appreciate it if she would ignore me. I guess I'm just shocked at her views. I've never heard anything like them. I live in rural Ohio so I'm use to hillbilly republicans lol. This is what she said about my last post...

"Well the whole list of those that you provided were from leftist sources. CBS is notorious for a huge leftist bias, global issues is a fringe leftist environmental group, the guardian is very left, and the NHSA is one of the most left groups in the country. So yes, they are all from VERY VERY biased sources that are not at all objective, as are all the links you post. You have not proven your point, only dug up stuff from leftist organizations, not real news sources, excluding CBS which is almost laughable as a news source since they are "commonly known" to have made up stories just to harm Bush. The Plame issue is still debatable as we don't know the motive for why her name was leaked, and she wasn't a field op, nor was her position with the CIA even classified. Her name was dropped inappropriately, but the motive behind it is not clear and those on the left are choosing to believe it was a retaliation issue, not look at any of the facts in the case, they are making up their minds independent of the facts"

ughhhhhhhhhh,

so basically I told her she was a far right extremist weirdo and to never reply to me again

19. the Palin part..
That's all you need to know.. forget reason!

I made friends with a neighbor last summer.. she's 20, likes animals, seemed totally cool.. then I found out she liked Sarah Palin :o
We were watching the news one night and Palin was on and I said, "Can you believe she wants to teach Creation along with evolution?" (I mean WHAT a horrible idiot, right?..) and this chick said "what's wrong with that?"

So I lost a friend, good riddance
