If bitching about an awesome, historic and extremely moving inaugural celebration is foolish...
Edited on Mon Jan-19-09 11:09 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
If missing the grandeur and emotional significance of an awesome, historic and extremely moving inaugural celebration and instead spending your time bitching about the inauguration is foolish then what is the word for spending your time during that awesome, historic and extremely moving inaugural celebration bitching about the behavior of other people on an internet discussion forum?

Enjoy the moment! Take a break from the taxing duties of internet scold.

1. good point - there are always people who will be unhappy - the rest of us should enjoy the moment!
Regardless if I agree or disagree with every thing Obama and Biden do - it sure beats the last 8 years!

2. I'm not sure if a lot of people here are capable of being happy.
They do seem content in constantly being pissed, finding fault, and unhappy about something. It must be a real treat to be their spouse, SO, kid, or even a casual friend.

6. There are posters who "bitch" about things going on in the real world and then there are
posters who "bitch" about the posts of other posters on a message board. Can't see what is so superior about the second group, but they often seem to post as though they are, totally missing the irony.

7. I bitch at you because....

...this is a once in a life time event, a world wide event, a time of global celebration. On Sept. 11, 2001 the entire world grieved, now the entire world is engaged in joyful celebration....and...you are missing it.

Why? Because you don't agree with some of Obama's choices, because, I guess you think you are smarter than him, maybe you think his choices will lead to disasterous outcomes, but you don't know that. What if those disasterous outcomes don't happen, or your predictions don't come to pass.....all you have is the memory of this incredible time and you weren't emotionally there for it. All the complaints you had kept you from joining with the world to celebrate.

If you want to wallow in your self-created poor me pity party instead of joining in...fine, but to rain on everyone else's parade is just plain crappy. Discussion is the purpose of this board and I'm all for it, but if you can't keep your negativity to yourself for just a few days and allow others to have this moment you are being very egotistical and selfishness.
