Tomorrow, I will wear a flag lapel pin for the first time in 7 years

And I will do so for the foreseeable future. After 9/11 I wore a flag lapel pin, but let it phase out in early 2002 because it became clear that Team Bush was going to politicize their "War on Terror", and that flags and other symbols and slogans ("Support the Troops", for example) would be used as partisan weapons. I was not going to be a part of that.

And I fully intend to play the patriotism card and question the patriotism of any conservative who second guesses our commander in chief in a time of war ;).

I hate the destructiveness of the "patriotism card" in any of its incarnations. Will you just reserve that for conservatives, or should that be a new movement on DU for any free-thinkers who might also dare question or second guess anything Obama does?
