Just a suggestion that people should take a breath and consider if their post will be hurtful to some and is it really worth it. I'm not talking about censorship. I'm just talking about respect and treating others with dignity. I do this and often stop myself from posting things and feel better. Sometimes I type things and then think "nah that's not worth it", and never press enter. It feels good.

Just a suggestion.

there have been a few times I have rewritten a paragraph after looking at it and realizing it might unduly hurt someone... or if I look at it and decide I don't have enough information to jump to the conclusion I was making.

On the other hand, much more often I get started on a post only to scrap it once I decide the shithead I was responding to is too stupid to be worth my time... once I ask myself if I want to get in a flame war with some asshole whose douchebaggery has just pushed me over the edge.

try and do that and have had to cancel my reply 'cause I changed my mine. Didn't pass the nice test. Course, I can't guarantee I won't ever fly off the handle again but I can try not to.
