Is DU gonna fold up? What will fill the void?

The whole nasty show is folding up and leaving or has left town. We're going to have to deal with federal agencies that really work for the people. A President who can speak properly. A first lady with a sense of style as well as high educational attainment. First Children who are polite and well behaved.

OMG! Whas gonna happen to us...

2. We could become an event more effective community, OR...
we could fight amongst ourselves, one group against the other.

and call each other names.

and throw stuff.

One of these two possible outcomes would make the bad guys VERY happy....

5. We could all find positive stuff to post, such as federal regs that are GOOD
that have just been issued, in case no one is reading the Federal Register, where they are published.

Good speeches on Capitol Hill, by good liberals.

More liberal commentators on cable and networks. KO and RM are not enough even tho they are great.

Lots of "Let's get behind Obama on this" kind of posts where people can be encouraged to spread the word about his programs and policies. We can be informed and inform others through our LTTEs.

These are a few suggestions, just off the top of my head...

8. Yep, AND bring attention to those things that need our attention.
Whether it's people in need of help, or people who need to be exposed.

There is plenty we could and should do, and the climate is right for these efforts to really get traction and make a difference1

Cheers to ya, CTyankee :toast:

7. As long as there are Republicans in government, there will be a need for Democratic Underground.
Even now, they plan against us.

We must remain vigilant and strong, and support the new Democratic majority...who sometimes seem to be more GOP than Democratic. Yes, there will be many things to do.

16. Of course, I have not forgotten about them. But they are being drowned out by the people
who are demanding change and don't want the Republican brand any more.

So we will fight them, but they won't be as strong as when they had you know who in the White House watching their back!

11. gotta know where the money goes! also there's this thing called basic human rights for all that is
not being given. And there's lots of animosity in this country with color, religion vs non-religion, straight vs gays wanting rights, and issues involving all the billions and who gets them. We'll certainly have plenty to talk about, and I hope some of that includes -

THE TRIALS FOR THE PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATION!
