Rasmussen: Kerry gains ground in Wisconsin
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 04:20 PM by WI_DEM
The latest Rasmussen tracking poll shows John Kerry closing Bush's lead in Wisconsin from 3-points (48-45) prior to the GOP convention to a statistically insignificant 2-points--49-47 Bush lead. Bush gained one point and Kerry two.

IN other words, GALLUP, Wisconsin remains a TOSS UP

P.S.
Bush's job approval is down three points in Wisconsin since their previous poll too.

7. I guess that's good news.
Although I wasn't planning on WI becoming a toss-up state. They're practically the most socialist state in the union.

10. Milwaukee in the 30's
Very strong for union rights. Pete Seeger used to come to support the workers.

Milwaukee and Madison are still liberal, but northeastern Wisconsin and the rural areas are conservative.

9. Just a bit ago I flipped on Lou Dobbs--hadn't seen news all day
The reporter with the Kerry campaign was just ending his report. He put up the Wiconsin Gallup results and it was like 8-9 points ahead for Bush. Then reporter said that the Kerry camp admits that they are behind but hope that it still ends up being a toss up, etc. I wasn't feeling too happy about it and wondered if the camp was swallowing the Gallup as the word of God or what. This makes me feel better.

11. Good
From what I've been looking at from electoral-vote.com, if we take that state plus Nevada, New Mexico, and Colorado then we have this election down 274-264, close but still a win. I think, based on recent polls plus what we need to win, we should focus on those three states and on holding Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. We will need those five to pull this off.
