He'll be a decent senator.

Assuming he'll be appointed.

Which he probably will.

But one never knows.

1. It won't be Cuomo, it will be Gillinbrand, Bloomberg or... (drum roll)
Ghouliani :wow:

Could she be a surprise pick?

4. No, Carolyn Maloney said two days ago that David Paterson is only "looking out

for himself" with this Senate pick...Paterson must not have been happy with that statement. Link in a few minutes.

"Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-NY, thinks Paterson’s simply looking out for himself, while another candidate told the Post he’s sure Kennedy will get the job because Attorney General Andrew Cuomo failed to line up the right replacement at the AG’s office. Cuomo’s actually the favorite in the race."

5. I hope investigates as AG, Gillibrand good for upstate, but difficult singling any Rep.
Though Gillibrand and Maloney were only ones Patterson singled out when I heard him. Cuomo is Dem royalty's heir, but unworthy and not very smart.

Caroline would be better than many are willing to admit. Our reps and senators rely on aides for policy and legislation, usually in the hallway on the way to somewhere, so CKS's people skills, contacts and knowledge of law helpful.

7. I commented not knowing of CKS's withdrawing. I always wanted Mark Green for AG, though
Dem leadership pushed Cuomo through. Mark is one of the smartest around, although hard for some to warm to. News of difficulty for Cuomo to line up a replacement brings me to Mark.

8. mark Green is a good choice. It also makes the Jewish community happy
and they were pivotal allies to Hillary's 2000 Senatorial victory.
