Do you dream of Obama?
Did Obama appear in anyone's dreams last night?

http://ihaveanobamadream.com

We're collecting dreams, post yours!

(Please, no Bush dreams. We've had enough nightmares in the last 8 years to last us a long, long time.)

1. No. but I had many Al Gore dreams after the 2000 election
I had a recurring dream every few months that Gore was going to be installed as president because it was discovered that he really won Florida. I had this same dream 4 or 5 times as late as the summer of 2002.

You and I both know that I am not the authority on Obama's ratings, perhaps you should ask other people if they think that the site looks like hero worship.

Ok, first, its not hero worship, its a harmless little amusing site. Second, you really think a site that gets a couple dozen visits is going to have some affect on his ratings? And that's our job now, to keep his ratings up?

5. Haven't had an Obama dream yet...
...though I'm sure I will, in time. I've "met" other politicians in dreams, though - John Kerry & John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, and yes, even Nightmare-Boy Bush (though he was always more pathetic than scary in my dream scenarios). Oh, and Bill Clinton, sort-of. That is, I always seemed to just miss out on meeting him or be prevented from talking to him, or he'd hurry past me and not notice that I was there. Wonder what a shrink would make of that? :)

Anyway, I'll keep that web site in mind, I'm sure it's pretty cool!

about Obama..the first was in the primary around the 4th of July and he was in an ice cream parlour with his family:9

The second one was last week after I read the 2009 Special Inaugural Editon before going to bed. I don't exactly remember the dream..I was just hanging out with the fam a little bit.

11. I've had about 3 or 4 dreams with him in them...
In one after the Lincoln Memorial Concert, Obama and I were playing touch football on the beach (by where I used to live) and Denzell Washington was a cop and liked me but I didn't like him, and when I was running to catch a pass from Obama, I caught Denzell's eye as he was getting into his cop car and he mistakenly thought I liked him but I didn't. I liked Obama (and he liked me-just as flirty friends).

In an earlier one, I was in a hotel lobby with him and Michelle and we were all trying to figure out how to get out of there with nobody noticing us. We were all buddies (I guess I was playing the Valerie Jarrett role).

In an even earlier one, we were walking through the streets on NY (around Washington Square Park) just hanging out and talking like buddies who liked each other.

I know I had another one or two, but I can't really remember them clearly. (I once had a boyfriend who looked kind of like him-in real life.) :D

15. I dreamed one time I was at Walmart....
Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 10:29 PM by Clio the Leo
... waiting in line to buy a plasma TV. (which is funny because Walmart never closes and I HATE Walmart.)

Suddenly, the line of folks broke out into an Obama campaign rally. We all stayed in line, but he paced back and forth in front of us. As he was speaking I, of course, had half of his speech memorized and started saying the lines along with him. When he realized what I was going, he smiled and winked.

I had another dream that I cannot post here nor would I. But suffice it to say it was ABUNDANTLY clear that he was the Commander in Chief.

so to speak.

Well what else are you gonna imagine about a man with such big ears?

and suddenly found I couldn't remember the name of his political party!

(My job has NOTHING to do with TV or the media, by the way.)

Also, when Bill Clinton visited Oxford, I had a dream that I met him at my college, and we shook hands - and then I realized to my horror that I was wearing my green pyjamas.

I also had a dream, when ex-president Nixon was still alive, that he and Kissinger dropped dead simultaneously on the platform of Wimbledon Park tube station in London, near where I used to live, and the press and emergency services all swooped down en masse.

I'll spare you my Maggie Thatcher nightmares.

55. I had one last week, while recovering from surgery
I had a breast reduction, and was in a lot of pain. In the dream, I was wandering around a large gathering, like a convention or something, and I saw Barack Obama there. I walked up to him, and told him my breasts are hurting, and asked if he could lay his hands on them to heal them.

Barack narrowed his eyes a little, and asked, "Did Bill put you up to this?" I shook my head no.

Then he shrugged a little, sort of waved his hands in the general direction of my boobs, and at that moment I woke up and took another Vicodin.

59. I sure have!
Lots of times.

One time, I dreamed me and Obama were on a rowboat and it started sinking. We started bailing with a little pail I remember having from the sandbox as a kid. It had Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and Snoopy on it. Then he grabbed the pail from me and turned into Hugh Laurie and he got in the pail and floated away.

The last one had Obama on a cross, dying for the sins of the world. Mary Magdalene was at his feet wearing a really cute Jason Wu gown and these to-die-for Jimmy Choo stilettos - the ones with the gold soles - anway, he was trying to say something and I couldn't hear him, so I had to get closer, but I couldn't without stepping on MM's gown and she just wouldn't get the hell out of the way! So I bent down and right there on the ground was a giant brush from one of those Pure Minerals infomercials and I just beat the crap out of her. I was so MAD because I wanted to hear Obama!

I never did get to hear what he said.

73. No
but, I did have many dreams shortly after Bush was selected in 2000 wherein I was sitting in the Oval Office with him and trying to explain why he was wrong.

I think that I don't have dreams about Obama because I trust him and don't have the PTSD I had after the 2000 selection.

76. pre-inauguration
I started this site after hearing people talk about dreaming about Obama in the run up to his inauguration. This other site is great - definitely check it out if you're interested in this topic - but it stopped way back last spring.

79. Yes

I dreamt he temporarily confiscated some headphones from children. And he said, "isn't it nice that you know that the person taking them will be giving them back".

80. I mocked this thread in my own mind when I first saw it... but last night
I actually had a dream/nightmare about Obama. I might post it to that site!

83. Like poster #80, I first mocked this in my own mind, too, but this morning
my wife told me she had the most amazing Obama dream last night. She said that in the dream we, meaning her and I, were the Obamas. She said we were in the White House sitting on a big leather sofa visiting with one of the Kennedy's who had come to pay a visit. It was either the late JFK or the late RFK. She didn't know which of the Kennedy's it was, just that he was such a caring person. Kennedy was there talking to her about the placement (I guess the location) of some of the physical objects in the White House and the significance of what position/location they should be in. I asked my wife if she was Michelle in the dream, and she wasn't sure, just that we were the Obamas in the dream. She could see Barack on the sofa, as well as Kennedy, even though she didn't know which Kennedy it was. I said it must have been JFK since he was President in the White House, but she said, no, something told her it could have been RFK, as well as it could have been John, in her dream.
