Company makes Malia and Sasha dolls

3. I'm not seeing any boobies on these dolls.
They are precious. I bet they sell out of these dolls very quickly.

house. When we watched the inauguration she kept asking when they can come over to play! Those are actually pretty cute. Still, the girls might feel a little weird knowing that dolls were made of them.

6. Breasts on little girls?
Unfortunately, as a post at Packaging Girlhood points out, the dolls are part of the teen line and thus come complete with breasts, which seems a little odd in dolls named after two little girls who are now 7 and 10 years old.

Also they are made in China, which doesn't help our jobs market a bit.

8. Seriously. They should be made in America.
The breasts would be the first thing to stop me from buying them, the "Made in China" sticker would be the second.

7. I checked them out online
Suggested retail price is $10. I think I'd rather have these than a Barbie! It'd be fun to sew "princess" outfits for the pair - and how cool would it be to play with their hair?

Michelle Obama calls Sasha and Malia dolls inappropriate

The new Sasha and Malia dolls from Ty Inc. aren't getting any love from the White House.

On Thursday, Michelle Obama's press secretary Katie McCormick Lelyveld said they consider it inappropriate to use the girls, who are "young, private citizens," for marketing purposes.

The new dolls, "Sweet Sasha" and "Marvelous Malia" are a part of the "TyGirlz Collection."

A Ty spokesperson said the dolls aren't based on the Obama daughters. Rather the names were chosen because they're beautiful, said Tania Lundeen.

Other TyGirlz on the company's site include dolls named Britney, Lindsay, Paris, Hillary and Jenn.

So many things wrong with this, and I'm glad Michelle put her foot down.

That these dolls are teen dolls is bad enough. Malia and Sasha are little girls. The fact that the dolls are made in Chinese sweat shops while the Obama children are the direct descendants of slaves is terrible. Now Ty is saying the dolls are not based on Sasha and Malia? Huh? What money grubbing liars.
