4. He got smackdowned by Gibbs, though... and looked embarrassed afterwards.
I agree he loves the sound of his own voice. Watch for him to toot his own horn on NBC/MSNBC later.

All the issues we have going on in the world and these fuckers
want to talk about the oath. How dumb and ignorant. I really hate that the oath was bobbled. I'm starting to get really pissed off with this shit.

The Constitution was shredded over the past eight years, the economy is at a dangerous low and this ass wants to talk about an oath and why it wasn't public?

Edited on Thu Jan-22-09 01:55 PM by BattyDem
8 years of secrets and no one said two freakin' words about it! :grr:

Hey Chuckie, here's the deal:

The WH council didn't think there was a problem but he took the oath again in order to shut up the assholes who kept insisting he wasn't really the President. I assume there was no video for one very simple reason: they wanted the oath on January 20th to be the "official" record. If there were two videos, there would be two "official" records and there's no reason for that. You got the pictures ... you got the audio ... Obama is the President. Get over it and let it go! :eyes:

don't take themselves too seriously. Frank Rich is of that ilk, too, and I enjoy reading him in NYT or watching him on Rachel's show.

21. Argued with Gibbs, that if the first oath was legit, why did they
feel the need to readminister it? And since they saw the need to readminster it, why wasn't Obama going to resign the EOs? Oy! Then asked why was it done in private, even though I've seen several videos of the retaking of the oath. Oy!

because there aren't any.

generally keep my tv on MSNBC most of the day. If you want to see it, watch for yourself. It may be a still shot with a voice over, but THAT is on video and it has been shown on MSNBC over and over.

P.S. And when Keith and or Rachel show the video tonight, you owe me a sincere apology.

34. That's right. It was still shot with taped audio. It was not a "video." Big Difference!
And you watch yourself. You obviously have quite a temper on you.

And I won't be apologizing for anything because Keith and Rachel will not be showing any video because it doesn't exist.

They may however, show the photo and play the audio tape. But there won't be a video.

31. The O-team should have said he was retaking the oath because
it wasn't done exactly right the first time and Obama likes things to be exactly right so he retook it. End of non-story. They never shoud have used the "upmost of caution" bullshit line.

In fact, that probably is part of the reason. Obama strikes me as a perfectionist and I'm sure it was eating at him that his oath was messed up. It would have bugged me and I'm not a perfection.
