Uh.. Who isn't totally loving this new administration?
Second day and he's signed executive orders to close Guantanamo, put an end to torture and setup a special peace envoy to the middle east. I am freaking loving Obama and am a very proud American right now.

2. Real question is, why couldn't the former administration bring
themselves to do just ONE of these things??

4. I'm having a great day
The sun is shining and with some warmer weather the windows are open and clothes are drying outdoors.

I'm doing my housework with joy while keeping an eye on DU, MSNBC and CNN.

6. When Bush was (s)elected . . .
. . . I knew the outcome would be bad. But never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine how bad it would be.

Contrast that with now: I knew Obama would be great. But he is hitting it out of the park by the minute! Oh, happy day! :bounce:

9. We knew he would ROCK...
but seeing it, hearing it, and feeling it are SOOOOOO much better!
:woohoo:

I am still getting teary-eyed when I see him or hear him speak, "Mr. President" just ROCKS my world!

(....just think how great it will be when he gets around to pressing charges against the Bushites !!!!)

11. He is totally cleaning house...
So far this administration has been the definition of "change." Drastic measures are needed to undo the disastrous policies of not only the Bush administration, but Washington as a whole. The lobbyist culture needs to be hammered and I am glad that Obama has cut them off at the knees in the White House. Now hopefully he can get some legislation through Congress to enforce laws that will clean out the corruption in Congress.

12. tuned in to Rush for a laugh today
he gravely said after reading the accomplishments of the last two days

"You're right, Mr Snerdly. this guy is going to be bad. Real bad."

That means we're on the right track x 1000

15. Not totally totally, but mostly totally.
It's off to a magnificent start in so many ways, better even than I'd hoped.

I'll reserve the full-on nekkid, drunk table dancing for marriage equality, or for the actual end to the wars and to Gitmo. But I'm grinnin' in the meantime. :toast:

17. I'll be happy when Holder is confirmed. Those who may be "legally
challenged" regarding torture (I know Obama has stated he is not going to prosecute policy or those following orders, but that doesn't mean he's not going to address those who deliberately and actively broke or ignored the law - at least I hope).

I believe the only reason for the hold up on Holder is for this reason and this reason alone. He put the Rich issue away, immediately and fully. I think he really scares those who might have compromised their own legal and ethical responsibilities, and that's a good thing in my book.

When Holder is in, I will be happier, but I've yet to feel my feet touch the ground since Tuesday, so I'm pretty happy as is. : )

I am sooooo grooving on this. Not that I wouldn't love it under ordinary circumstances, but this is just beyond my wildest dreams.
