OMG, Paterson decided to appoint CKS Tuesday and Evidently Caught Off Guard by CKS's Withdrawal
this from NY1. Dominic Carter said this is a fact and he quoted his personal conversation with Paterson where the Governor said: "All systems go for CKS" and then yesterday CKS called the Gov. to tell him she was pulling out due to personal reasons! Carter said that Paterson was in shock and was caught off guard by CKS withdrawal. He further said that the front-runner is Kirsten Gillibrand but the Dems in NY are furious and upset with this choice because she is a Blue Dog Democrat with strong conservative credentials. Carter said that tonight Paterson will make his final decision.

5. Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg
Although I hear she didn't change her name when she married, so she's really just Caroline Kennedy. And with a name like that, why change?

9. Why? The reporter said it right on Hardball about 15 minutes ago. He was pretty damned adamant.
I'm sure you don't know more than a man who spoke to Gov. Patterson directly at an Inaugural Ball about it.

10. Yes. And Domenic Carter is a top-notch political reporter.
The Gov. would never give him a bum steer.

15. Unless you have proof of that, you're just making shit up on the spot.

I am constantly amazed at DUers who think anything they make up is believable.

And there were just as many news releases about Caroline's concern about the financial data and the governor was also quoted as saying he had thought that the info wasn't subject to the Freedom of Information Act and then found it was. This will be the second time Caroline has refused this information. Bloomberg made an exception for her when she worked for the schools.

8. This is turning into quite the soap opera.
At this point, how about a reality show to pick the NY Senator. Vote one off the show every night until only one remains.

11. This is turning into a Get-Paterson affair. I think the 2010 Governor's race has begun.

13. FWIW her name is not, and never has been, "Schlossberg."
It was some sort of media creation. Her name has never been legally changed from Caroline Kennedy.
