are sometimes fun. This one seems to show that there are more older people up late at night with nothing to do. I'm soon to drop into the last category with votes before 78.

14. Same as the POTUS
The age gap between President Obama and me is six years, the same as between me and my youngest brother. It's weird realizing that the president is basically from my age cohort.

55. LOL..my 48 yr old sis said the same thing
Ever since Nov 4th she has been feeling kind of old: "I'm OLDER than the President???!!!???" Thinking about it, most of her (and mine--I'm 43) life "the President" has referred to someone at least 15-20 yrs older than her/me.

42. I have a neighbor who will be 83 this year.
She is amazing, and I always think of her when I feel creaky and tired. She hikes, kayaks and skis (I've heard no one can keep up with her!), she travels and drives long distances. I hope to be so active 30 years from now!

The people next door to her are in their mid-70s, and they hike with their black lab puppies, work out several times a week, take classes at the U, and party, big-time.

These women are truly inspiring to me. I am the baby of the neighborhood.....

92. Whatever you do, don't have a mid-life crisis!
I bought a new corvette when it hit me, and I ended spending A LOT of money I didn't have - for nothing! Well, not nothing - I got to drive a vette for 3 years, which I'd wanted to have since I was about 13 years old. But it really didn't do much for my mid-life crisis. They apparently go away on their own if you wait it out a bit.

And, I'm 54 now. You won't understand how young 40 is until you are past 50... The world is still your oyster - enjoy it while you have the chance!!
