2. Fucking sellout DINO scum. Er, I mean, opportunist lefty...er...
Hell, I don't know. After complaining first that she's an ideological conservative, and then that she's a non-ideological liberal, I think the only real complaint is that she isn't Princess Caroline.

3. I preferred Caroline Kennedy too, but this is simply absurd now.
And frankly, Gillibrand has fixed one of the reasons I preferred Kennedy--I've now got a senator who unapologetically supports gay marriage. And being pro-gun-rights is not a bad thing in upstate New York.

4. I am not happy with the pick, but I am willing and eager to give her a chance.
Remember, I did not like Hillary in 2000 but now I adore her... :eyes:

5. I think you're right -- the people who don't

like her wanted Princess Caroline. Having JFK for a father does not mean Caroline would be a good senator. She might be, she might not be. We can't judge her on previous legislative experience because she has none. Anyway, she withdrew her name at the last minute, her choice. Time to move on about this.

6. Not all of them, I'm afraid.
There's once again two groups. Hell, I was for Caroline Kennedy, and I'm quite thrilled with Gillibrand. But I know others too who think Kennedy was a bad idea and are still unhappy with Gillibrand. Including some people who thought Kennedy unqualified because she'd never engaged in politics, and think Gillibrand is unqualified because she HAS engaged in politics.
