Question- Was Rev. Warren set up?

Obama sworn in.

Obama gives address saying it's time to give up childish and petty ways.

Rev. Lowery shows how the grown-ups do prayer. No one even remembers Warren's prayer.

As someone who is both white and "red man", that line caused me to groan out loud. It wasn't even all that great in 1968 if read from this corner



and it sure isn't appropriate at the inauguration of the 44th President.

Warren was terrible. Lowery was much better, but could have left this out.

as obviously this part of the message stepped on toes and because that was the sound bite that got repeated and repeated, ignoring the great message that proceeded it.
