Bush Legacy Tour suspends events

(AP/Midland) Citing the downturn suddenly facing the U.S. economy as well as recent increases in travel and security costs the Bush Legacy Tour has announced that it will suspend several planned events.

A Bush Legacy Tour press release stated, “In the current atmosphere overseen by the US Congress and new administration we understand the emphasis many of the supporters of President Bush’s legacy of freedom want to place on family and spirituality. The President Bush Legacy Tour has heard the vast outcry of endorsement and will continue planned events as his legacy of liberty continues to widen.”

The list of events include:

1/28/09 al-Udeid Air Base, Qatar
2/02/09 Shaikh Isa Air Base, Bahrain
2/05/09 Thumrait Air Base, Oman
2/07/09 US Central Command (USCENTCOM), Kuwait
2/08/09 Camp Doha, Kuwait

I'm guessing he was trying to undermine Obama by addressing the military as if he was still president. I'm also guessing Obama said to take his self-serving propaganda somewhere else. It's totally inappropriate for Bush to be traveling around to military bases, espousing policies that are totally contradictory to the current president's.

as soon as I saw the word 'spirituality' -- they would say 'faith' which they think is the same thing.

'The Bush Legacy of Death Tour'. This son of a bitch should be protested at every stop.
I wish this asshole would just go away. He does not deserve recognition of any kind.
He has been a danger to human rights and human life. The deaths of 3,000 WTC victims have not been avenged.
The deaths of untold thousands because of Katrina have not been sufficiently rectified.
