I'm watching the inauguration coverage that I missed while in DC
and MSNBC is showing footage of Bill hugging McCain extensively (not just a quick hug..his arm remains around him). Then shows him holding Cindy's right arm as he speaks to her. It appears to me that he is truly disappointed that McCain did not win. For some reason he really likes John McCain. You would think he would be proud that his wife is now Secretary of State. I noticed on some clips the other day that he did not seem really happy when she got the job? Perhaps he just believes that she should have been sworn in as president the other day. I'm honestly trying to forgive Bill Clinton (absolutely adored him before the primaries) but I'm having a hard time. If he would truly embrace Barack (and look like he truly means it) then I think I could get past it. Darn it..I want to like Bill again. Hillary has redeemed herself (she worked her butt off for him and I think she is going to make a very good SOS)in my eyes but I just don't know about Bill.............

1. I don't know about what you are speaking of.....
But I will say that I am deeply disappointed that Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter are not even civil enough towards each other have said hello to one another, even as they passed each other. I found that deeply disturbing in the wake of Barack Obama stating that folks should be acting like adults and putting away childish things. It was truly a shock....and I give no points to either, although I have this sneaking suspicion that it is Bill who is extending whatever ails that relationship. Sad and tragic is how I see it.

4. I would suggest you just let it go if
you are going to read that much into him greeting McCain and wife.

Ooooooo, Bill held Cindy's arm. Yes, that means he wished McCain had won. :eyes:

With analyses like this one, it just proves that you really DON'T want to like Clinton despite your stated desire.

Bill is out. His influence is even less than it would have been had Hillary not become SoS. I am sure after what he put his wife through in the past, he will do no harm.

Obama won. We have at minimum 4 years to look forward to. This constant rehashing of Clinton's motives is tired and frankly, moot.

5. Here I thought the primaries were over
silly me....

Who cares if Bill hugged McCain & shook Cindy's hand? Obama greeted them too! zOMG!! I guess that means if Hillary had won the nomination, Obama would have wanted McCain to win!
