Go Aboard 'Air Force One' with President Obama! Sunday January 25 @ 8p EST

The National Geographic Channel filmed George Bush's final flight aboard the presidential plane, along with Barack Obama's first flight as the U.S. President.

"On Board Air Force One" premieres on Sunday, January 25 at 8 PM ET/PT. Don't miss Obama's historic takeoff!

1. There is a clip in the video forum of Pres Obama taking a tour
On his maiden trip, being taken to DC for the Inauguration. Very cool.

Remember when there was a pic posted on DU a week or so ago of him getting off the plane and there was some guy standing behind him with a video cam and we wondered who the guy was? Going by the end of the clip, it may have been someone filming for this show.

2. This series looks good, but I don't want to see any more of *
According to my DVR schedule, tonight's episode's description: "Perhaps the most-secure aircraft in the world carries the president through Sept. 11, a flight to Baghdad, and a a diplomatic mission through the Middle East."
I wonder if we'll even see President Obama is this week's episode.

I'm impressed, though, with how detailed, tough and professional these crews are, and with all the various safety precautions that are taken.

It is good to think that Obama and his family will have that kind of professionalism and dedication devoted to keeping them safe in their journeys.

ETA: Every time I see Obama do anything, like on this show getting on AF One for the first time from Chicago, I feel happy and relieved and like I still can't believe we got a classy and smart guy elected. It reminds me that it wasn't guaranteed to turn out this way, and that worse than seeing Bush, I could have been watching McCain and that freak of natue Palin settling in for their first flight on AFO.

Thanks for reminding me of that..I'm going to send it to my friend. We were talking today about how Obama likes to get into the whole food thing and there's an article out about how Chefs are hoping he'll bring real food into focus.

Oh, and Obama is a good fit on Air Force One:)

I saw this on the National Geograpic Video.

8. Thanks for the heads up, but I think I'll pass
I just turned on to watch it and encountered Bush on TV once again. I had to swallow my vomit down. Thanks, but no thanks. I never want to voluntary see a picture or any type of video of that douchebag ever again.

13. Very, very disappointing.
I was so looking forward to learning something about the plane we support with our tax dollars and I ended up getting an hour long commercial on the coolness that is W. So I say 'thanks but no thanks to that plane ride to nowhere'.

I did however enjoy the last three minutes a great deal.
