Poll question: Should the Democrats cut the Republicans loose?
Do you think it is healthier for the Democrats to plow ahead with little or no compromise in order to make the change that We, The American People, voted for?

1. If they stand in our way just for the hell of it (like they usually do)
then I say we steamroll the fuckers.

3. The people who caused the problems in the first place, have no interest in solving them.
Especially the ones who have profited from the disaster. And that doesn't just mean financially.

4. Plow ahead without them
Obama just listens to people before he makes a decision. It doesn't mean he'll give in to their demand.

They have no way to obstruct anything except for the Senators needed to break their filibuster; if they filibuster, the American People turn on them.

5. I say, make them suffer like they did the American people suffered
under bushit for eight years. Besides, I have said over and over that you can't hold hands with the thugs, they will bite you every time.

6. Just wait until there is a bill that everyone here really wants and thinks is good,
but Democrats can only get 50 some votes in the Senate. Is it worth it too cut the Republicans loose when it may mean cutting things loose that will help Americans. Fortunately, Obama will not do that. I'm sure he would believe that 3/4 of a loaf is better than none except at DU where we would rather go hungry than give up 1/4 of a loaf. Don't look for Obama to tamely jump through our hoops like a trained cat.

7. For the sake of The Constitution and the defense of the country, we can't cut them loose on
the investigation of the Bush administration.

10. "Let them go" or "as explained" in the next line and choices......
I am curious as to what others think. After watching the attempts to obstruct, complain, whine and basically offer nothing but attempts to shore up their chances for the next election, I have come to the conclusion for myself that unfortunately, the Dems cannot and should not work with the Republicans if they do not need them. I deeply and sincerely believe that we have no more time left in regards to the multiple crisis that the Country and the planet face. I am deeply saddened to think that we may be in a time when we can no longer act polite but hopefully, with civility, must move quickly forward. I hope that for the sake of everyone, the Dems figure this out. I just wanted to know if others felt strongly like I did.

9. I'm for bipartisanship
If Republicans want to completely capitulate and abandon everything they believe in, then by all means, we on the Democratic side should welcome them to do that.

11. They will not compromise for the public good, ever
In 1993 conservative pundit Irving Kristol advised the GOP that the Clinton proposal "should not be amended; it should be erased," because "it will revive the reputation of the party that spends and regulates, the Democrats, as the generous protector of middle-class interests.“

In 2008, the Cato Institute has stated that “blocking Obama's health plan is key to the GOP's survival. If Obama succeeds in passing health care, then people who might have been conservatives will like it, and will be more likely to vote for the people who passed it.“

13. I think that is why Pawlenty from MN is pushing for his health care garbage
and it pretty much is all about "kids". He just attended the Pro-Life rally/protest with Coleman. Here we go again folks. It will never never ever stop from these people ever.

16. It didn't take them 24 hours to return to their same old
song and dance. They can't even hire new writers or choreographers; they just keep cranking out the same old bitter pills while they keep grabbing at the pot.

They'll never change.

They've had their say. Instead of accepting the invitation to get with the program, to listen to the American public, to mend their thieving, hypocritical ways, they went right back in the same rut.

Fuck 'em. They're not going to get with the program. The bus can leave without them.

I've posted it before and I'll post it as many times as necessary until it takes hold: every single time we've extended them an olive branch and sought peace and compromise, they've snatched it from our hands and beat us with it. I, for one, am sick and tired of our politicians (are you listening, Mr Reid and Ms Pelosi???) offering their backs to the lash and saying, "thank you, sir; may I have another?". This time, we kick the pugs in the nuts like they've done to us for the last 30 years.

And we keep kicking and keep kicking until they learn to get along like decent human beings.

Which heretofore they seem to be incapable of doing.

No matter. Until they begin to act like human beings, I am perfectly capable of continuing to kick. Perhaps our elected officials should remember they were put in place to do exactly that.

No more rolling over. Give the pugs the only answer they understand.
