Pres. Obama to Address ... um ... everybody from the East Room Mon 10:30am.

Sorry ... he's not really addressing "the nation" and he's not addressing "just the press."

ANYWAY.... scheduled to talk about jobs, energy dependance and climate issues ..... but here's the kicker for me ..... FROM the East Room!!! WHOOHOO!!!

I grew up during the Reagan era and I remember that's where the President used to mind screw us from. So the image of Barack walking down that hallway and coming up to the podium in the East Room has been an image I've looked forward to. It will be my final "OH MY GOODNESS HE REALLY IS THE PRESIDENT!!!" moment. ;)

BREAKING: Monday kicks off a week of hard selling on the President's stimulus package, and The New York Times reports that Obama will kick start it off by announcing another sharp break with the Bush administration, by allowing California and 13 other states the right to set stricter automobile emissions and fuel efficiency standards than those that are federally mandated.

The official announcement will likely come in Obama's scheduled remarks in the East Room tomorrow morning on “Jobs, Energy Independence and Climate Change.”

And FYI, CSPAN usually broadcasts the days important events starting at 8pm Eastern if you are unable to record.

3. I swear Obama is bring the real office of the President back.

He is such a professional. Of course it shows after a disaster that Bush was but Obama is just focus and driven since Day 1. And I mean Day 1 of his Presidential campaign.

7. lol, what I mean is....

... it's not a formal "The President Will be Addressing the Nation" moment used in times of crisis etc. I think it will be a mix of his normal "give a very short speech on the matter at hand and then take questions."

It's just that by holding it in the East Room, it raises the level of seriousness. Makes it MORE than just a regular press briefing that would typically be held in the press briefing room.

.... improving the infrastructure using environmentally friendly and energy efficient means. Job creation, etc.
