4. Hey, we were right near each other! I found myself, too.

I was in the same area back there near the clump of trees, but I was all the way back against the fence. Probably walked right past you.

I love gigapan.org. I use it in my digital arts class.

7. Good for you. I thought it was great when I found myself in a big crowd shot of an Obama rally
here where I live, but it wasn't from any 1474 mp shot.

9. Explanation from the guy who made it here:
http://davidbergman.net/Obama.html

What surprised me was that he used a Canon G10. Its their high end P&S.

The detail could have been quite a bit more impressive I suspect, if he had used a decent DSLR and lens.

11. I used the image to prove to my boss I was there. He said I just wanted the day off.
It was funny. He said to me last week, "Come clean, there is no way you went down there"

She has a shit-eating grin on her face: "yeah I know he's an asshole...."

19. Cool but just a little bit more than Big Brother creepy...
this is just for kicks folks but just think about this kind of technology tied to facial recognition software for instance - who were you sitting next to? what were you wearing? etc., etc.
