1. Nope, just trying to revel in the first few days of Obama's term... Seriously,
the country is one messed up place... I'm hoping it gets better, rather than worse as obama cleans up after Bushie.

4. No... I certainly am not.
If she earns it, maybe....

In the meantime, there are a lot of well-deserving, competent and accomplished women I would support (of course they may not be as young and attractive as Gillibrand) :eyes:

9. Yes, she stepped on the back of a more experienced representative from Buffalo in order to SCORE
a coveted Committee assignment. It's always nice to have POWERFUL PEOPLE (daddy's lobbyists/HRC/Shumer) on your side ... to push you past those LITTLE PEOPLE once known as "your peers."

12. Funny, that Obama was also "a team player" and well liked. He didn't have daddy's people
and a republican senator to promote him. This democratic "Palin" is vapid and I look forward to more proof of that with future Junior High Speeches. :eyes:

16. more bullshit from you
None of us has any idea what sort of Senator Gillibrand will turn out to be, and your continuous slandering of her is just flat over the top.

Give it a fucking rest, will you?

And it's pretty funny you think anyone is.

She's got two years to distinguish herself with voters outside of her district just to be Senator G once again.

7. Why? What has she done that puts her on the list of possibilities?
She was a successful member of the House - but so are many others. Does being appointed to the Senate suddenly make her special? You might as well say Shaheen 2016. At least she (and others) were elected to the Senate - and she was previously Governor (trumping 2 years in the House.) Or what about Hagen, Senator from NC. (It seems your criteria is women in the Senate.)

It would be nice to wait at least until she does something great in the Senate in the next 6 or so years. ( 6 because the last 2 are basically lost to running.)

8. No actually, I'm not. Some other DUer put her speech as "acceptance of her 8th Grade presidency."
Yes, if she runs for President of a Junior High Council in NY State she's a shoe-in.

22. Governor Brian Schweitzer of Montana of course.
There was a huge push for him to be VP back during the election.

He gave the best non-Obama speech during the Denver Convention:

"I wonder if there's beer on the sun..."

"I LIKE TACOS!!"

"Stewart/Colbert '16! A Funnier America!"

Yeah... I can keep multiple trains of thought going at once.

Not only has it crossed my mind, but I discussed it with my husband the other day. However, I prefer Jim Webb. He should start running NOW.
