Blago the New Media maverick! "I Considered Oprah for IL Senate"
Holy Cow! It looks like our favorite rogue politician is doing a tremendous media blitz and keeping his name in the news. CNN, MSNBC, Fox and all the newtworks are swooning and salivating to catch a glimpse and get interviews with their new maverick. Now, it seems that Illinois almost got Senator Winfrey since Blago is saying that he considered Oprah. he also likes Whoppi Goldberg since the comedienne has shown some sympathy for the beleaguered Governor in previous episodes of "The View". Regarding Oprah "she seemed to be someone who would help Barack Obama in a significant way become president," he said. "She was obviously someone with a much broader bully pulpit than other senators."

The governor worried, though, that the appointment of Winfrey might come across as a gimmick and that the talk show host was unlikely to accept.

He reiterated his innocence Monday, telling ABC that "I did nothing wrong. And if I did something wrong, I would have resigned."

He called the impeachment trial unconstitutional, saying it "denies me the right to call witnesses to defend myself." At another point he said: "Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence?"

Addressing the federal wiretaps in which Blagojevich is heard talking about selling or trading the U.S. Senate appointment, the governor said his comments were snippets of conversations that were "completely out of context."

Wow, Blago indeed is spunky! Way to go Blago, give them Hell!

2. The only thin that will be better than him being convicted in the Illinois Senate
will be when he's lead away in shackles after being sentenced to federal prison.
